Step 8 - Don't get sidetracked

It's been a week - and I haven't done any work on my project - well I did start up my LLC - but forking over your hard earned cash to someone else hardly counts

Flippa.com - great site - but according to the book - this would be an event & trying to bypass the process - I figure I have to learn all the SEO stuff by myself & not rely on what I think at best false advertising (at worst - just plain scams)

I also hope I made right decision about how to go about setting up LLC - more expensive option than google searches retrieve - but recommended by a friend who already got his LLC setup

I also made a decision to read 2nd book - One Simple Idea - ASAP - even if it takes me all night / weekend

Step 7 - Build it

Like I suggested to others - I finally got around to doing it myself - I only spent an hour - but I alreay have a very rough prototype ready - and I already have gotten more ideas due to doing that

What did I want to be when I grew up?

When I was little - I read book where character "Totu" got hold of magic wand - well essentially he was so stupid and arrogant that he even turned his best friend into a donkey & funny thing about the wand - it cannot reverse bad actions performed by itself. (In the end he had to do selfless act of giving the wand back & got his friend back)

Anywhoo - so I figured I have to be smarter than that - so I wanted to pass the wand on to a pretty & smart girl - who would swiff all my wishes for me

See - even when I was little - I wanted everybody else to do the work for me

Plan now is that the wand is the credit card - in the hand of someone else (thank god I never managed to get a limitless for myself) and to make the wand work - I need to work my ass off to have the wealth to power it

Time - it passes quick - so you better have something to show for it

I just realized - my mom just turned 50 today - I better be rich next year

Entertainment rules - people sit on couch - watch tv or video games, iPhone android on the go

I guess we will be in show bznz - sort of - at least I got a kickass idea - borrow a little bit here, hear something from there & figure out how to wrap it together to provide best experience for certain needs

Whats interesting is that some things on web are still built like it was 1999 - I see opportunity knocking for me :)

Time

Today is too late - tomorrow will never come - everything must be done yesterday - it's the only way

Step 6 continued - Someday is yesterday

Unless I start working like someone stole my lunch money and I need to work fast to get it back - I will make it, yesterday...

When I heard my boss he wanted things to be done yesterday - it sounded like a joke

But now that I think about it - I need to build my own business YESTERDAY!

Step 6 - get off the couch

No real excuse for not doing it - I am lazy & I like my tv after 8-10 hour work days...

The question is - shall I start working on the idea or should is time well spent on education first (like reading this book)

Step 5 - Create LLC

Already in the middle of setting mine up - that's how I found this book when I searched Amazon.com for "How to run your life like a corporation". :)

Step 4 - Operate Better, Faster, Smarter

Idea is usually about how make things better, how to do it better than someone else

Another thing about the idea is - as soon as you think about it - rest assured someone else is already doing it - so you are in the race

And in order to win that race:

Step 3 - quit your job

not sure about this - not yet anyways

but we will see if i get the promised raise or not - it'd be time if not tho I doubt it - Im too good at what I do & they need me too much

Update day later: Got the raise, not everything I asked for - enough to keep me busy, real trick will be to start my own thing while still keeping certain monthly income

Step 2 - avoid scams

And thats were this book starts to hit on the money - if you get scammed - it is all your own fault: you have to be due diligent in business - left no stone unturned when you trust someone with your business or money

So to avoid being scammed is one step towards evading failure, pothole in the road & keep trucking

Internet is full of shady websites - big promises, but its hard to tell which are legit for my purpose - with the little capital I have - I would hate nothing more tha losing even a hundred dollars of it

Step 1 - the idea

Well - from what you read - it took this guy at least 5 years to stumble on the idea that made him millions, same here - I can count years & so many failed side projects in the name of making it

And the only way to come up with the idea is from your own experience - essentially seeing something wrong - or seeing something that can be done better - and then taking it on yourself to actually do it

So when I think about it - what do all my failed projects have in common - 2 things: it involved other people - and probably me not too passionate to even keep trucking when going was tough

May be its me - maybe Im lazy, but it seems im not able to work more than 50 hours a week

So how will I do it this time - afterall my current job pretty much requires all this time

I guess answer is - I will take on myself to negotiate better employment terms - or if that fails - then taking the risk & going full tilt by myself - with my ideas - with my own company

So you gotta have savings - at least to survive a few months, Ive been able to be a bit smarter with my savings this year - so lets begin - lets start trying :)

I picked up this book Millionaire fastlane - and from everything I gather it's not your usual get rich quick scam - this guy actually sounds like he knows what's he doing

And even if not everybody can become millionaire - this book has plenty of solid ideas & things a lot of people may know - but still - common sense is so few and far between

So lets start - im ready to start driving Lamborghinis in a year :)
